Welcome to the My Photo My Day Project Exhibition!

My Photo My Day is a community initiative to document and display the pandemic experiences of Torontonians and Ontarians in the photographs. This project is led by Professor Lin Fang from the University of Toronto, Factor-Inwentash Faculty of Social Work.

The goal of the project is to serve as a record of living history to highlight the collective, yet diverse, experiences of the COVID-19 pandemic across the different GTA neighbourhoods.

Since May 2020, we have asked individuals, community organizations, and businesses across the GTA to share photos of their daily lives with us through Instagram (@myphotomydaycovid). The project has collected over 300 pictures to date.

As March marks the one-year anniversary of the start of the pandemic in Canada, we felt it would be a great time to look back on the year as all of us also look forward to the end of the pandemic. Our team decided to compose a photo album to highlight the community's experience over the past year to showcase in this exhibition. We sincerely thank the community members whose photographs are displayed here, as well as everyone else who has participated in the initiative.

Lastly, we would also like to thank YOU, who are reading this message, for taking part in this virtual exhibition. We hope you enjoy the collection of photos and reflections presented here and consider sharing this exhibit with others.
