STAY AT HOME

Since Canada and Ontario issued stay-at-home order last March, many GTA residents have found themselves restricted in their homes. The home has become more than a place to sleep and eat, but the office and playground for many families. Keep scrolling to see the different ways community members learnt to keep fun in the household!

A Treat That Brightens The Day

It is going to be tough not meeting our friends and family during COVID lockdown, but I've decided to make my roommates and I a treat to remind us to be grateful for what we have today. P.S. my apartment is filled with the smell of bananas and I love it!

Creative Energy

Messy Bun, get things done!

Creating content is an outlet for me. This past 10 months I’ve been pushed to create without travel and without events photograph.

In some ways it’s been energizing but I miss my regular life. I miss community festivals and when a friends band is playing local.

My love for photography and connecting with people pushes me to look at the things around me with a refreshed perspective.

Cooking Time

One thing I have mastered during the pandemic is fried rice... I'm usually not proud of my cooking but fried rice tastes good! 😌

Letters to Home

I don’t usually send cards during Christmas but I am this year for my relative and friends who I can’t greet in-person!

There are so many ways that we can still stay connected with one another even during the pandemic thanks to the essential workers that make this possible.

Orange Shirt Day

How are your days during #lockdown?

...

...

We are learning to adapt to #virtuallearning and getting things accomplished. That does not mean we do not struggle with keeping my #torontokid on track - it is like I have to whistle at him at every turn. I just want to give him a good foundation to the start of his #schoolyears so he does not have to struggle - he is already behind but is catching on. He is one of those kids that will have to do things repeatedly in order to get it for some things like writing the alphabet but other things - he can just pick up. He is still a shy student when it comes to the spotlight even though he is always the one you notice. Today I was proud of him as he does pay attention to what happens to others and hopefully it will translate to that kind person in the community who helps.
